FAQ

Common questions, clearly answered.

Does opening a media kit refresh social data or spend credits?

The kit always reads its saved snapshot first. If a source is stale, an official connection can refresh without public-data provider credits; a public-data fallback refresh can spend provider credits. Kits that are not opened are not refreshed automatically.

Can a creator type or inflate verified analytics?

No. Performance fields come from an official authorized connection or a labeled public-data fallback. Creators can edit descriptive profile information, but not type their own verified metrics.

Do creators give VeroKit their social-media passwords?

No. Official connections use the social platform’s authorization screen and encrypted read-only tokens. Public-data fallback uses available public information. VeroKit never asks for a social password or publishing permission.

Why is an official social connection recommended?

It verifies account ownership, retrieves the current fields the platform permits, and uses zero public-data provider credits. It may improve accuracy and freshness, but each platform still controls which metrics and historical periods it exposes.

Is an official social connection required?

No. Public-data profiles remain available as a clearly labeled fallback when a creator does not connect or a platform connection is not configured.

Can VeroKit publish or change content through an official analytics connection?

No. The connection is read-only and requests analytics and identity permissions only. Disconnecting stops future official refreshes while retaining the last stored snapshot.

Why might a profile show an older number?

VeroKit stores snapshots so every visitor does not trigger a provider call. The owner or administrator can refresh the data, while the exact result still depends on what that source currently exposes.

Who can see creator prices?

Creator rates are visible after signing in with a brand or agency account. Public visitors can view the proof-oriented media kit without seeing protected commercial pricing.

Can brands find a creator who is not a VeroKit member?

Yes. Supported paid workspaces can retrieve available public information by exact handle. VeroKit creates one deduplicated, unclaimed profile and an internal prospect record.

Does a public creator search automatically send an invitation?

No. Prospect outreach requires a suitable public business contact, administrator review, and an approved send. Suppression and unsubscribe status are respected.

Are creator value estimates guaranteed prices?

No. They are explainable low-to-high planning ranges based on available performance signals. Production, rights, exclusivity, timing, expenses, and the creator’s final quote can change the price.

How do creator payouts work?

The creator connects their own Stripe recipient account through Stripe-hosted onboarding. The brand pays VeroKit’s platform flow, and the creator portion is released according to the documented order and delivery state.

Does VeroKit store bank-account information?

No. Stripe collects and stores the sensitive identity and bank information required for payout onboarding. VeroKit stores provider identifiers and account status needed to operate the workflow.

Can I track a brand deal that happened outside VeroKit?

Yes. Creator CRM supports external contacts, deals, project stages, deadlines, tasks, costs, links, invoices, and payment status.

How is project profit calculated?

Project profit is recorded revenue minus connected costs. Add every production and operating expense to produce an accurate creator, campaign, client, and portfolio report.

Can invoices be deleted?

Unused draft invoices can be permanently deleted. Once an invoice is issued or has activity that must remain auditable, void it instead of deleting it.

What is PO / Reference on an invoice?

It is the customer’s purchase-order number or another reference their accounting team uses to match the invoice to an approved project. It is optional unless the customer requires it.

Can an invoice be shared without email?

Yes. The owner can copy the secure invoice link or download the PDF. Email delivery remains available when the transactional email service is active.

How do whitelisting and partnership ad codes work?

The request stores platform, scope, need-by date, activation window, expiry, code, status, and timeline. VeroKit campaign requests are shared with the creator and requesting brand or agency; outside-client requests remain creator-only.

Can an agency separate each client’s reporting?

Yes. Agency client accounts connect the correct projects, social profiles, invoices, receivables, performance, cost, profit, and team workflow to each managed brand.

When should a media kit be archived instead of deleted?

Archive it when it has orders, invoices, payouts, contracts, retainers, or disputes. Permanent deletion is reserved for profiles without protected legal or financial history.

What should I do if a feature is missing from my dashboard?

First confirm the signed-in role and plan. Features are intentionally limited by role, workspace permissions, subscription, and capacity. The plan page shows what an upgrade or add-on unlocks.

Where can I ask for help?

Use the Contact page or email getverokit@verokit.com with the workspace, page, and a clear description of the issue. Never include passwords, full card numbers, or private bank details.

Still need help?

Send the VeroKit team the page, workspace, and exact issue.
