Connect official analytics or a public profile

Use a creator-authorized, read-only connection for the strongest available verification, with public-data profiles kept as a fallback.

1

Open Media kit settings

Go to Dashboard → Media kit and find Connected social accounts.

2

Choose the connection method

Creator Pro and Pro Plus can select Connect official analytics for Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. A public handle can still be added when an official connection is unavailable.

3

Authorize on the social platform

The platform—not VeroKit—shows the permission screen. VeroKit requests read-only analytics and identity access, never your password or permission to publish.

4

Check the source label

Official connections show OFFICIAL · VERIFIED OWNER. Public-data profiles show PUBLIC-DATA FALLBACK so visitors can distinguish the evidence source.

5

Refresh on demand

Official refreshes use the platform connection and zero public-data provider credits. Public-data fallback refreshes can spend provider credits.

6

Disconnect safely

Only the creator can disconnect an official account. VeroKit keeps the last verified snapshot in its internal archive, but it stops retrieving new official data.

Good to know

  • • Official APIs expose different metrics and history by platform, account type, permission, and policy. Connecting an account improves provenance and freshness but cannot create data the platform does not expose.
