A good media kit is not a résumé. It is a decision page: Who is this creator, who do they reach, what can they make, what evidence supports the claim, and what should the brand do next?
The five-second hierarchy
Put the strongest buying evidence above the first major scroll. Do not open with a long autobiography while the metrics, work, and contact action are buried.
Four media-kit structures that match four businesses
Niche expert
Lead with expertise, audience fit, typical content performance, proof of previous work, and a narrow set of high-confidence offers.
Multi-platform creator
Keep Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube metrics source-scoped. Explain how each platform plays a different role in the campaign.
UGC producer
Lead with creative formats, portfolio, process, turnaround, hooks, production capability, and licensing—not follower count.
Food or coffee specialist
Show recipe, product, café, and equipment capabilities plus production quality, geography, and examples that prove category fluency.
Show evidence with context, not decorative numbers
| Weak presentation | Stronger presentation |
|---|---|
| “5M impressions” | “5.3M Instagram impressions · rolling 30-day account insight · refreshed Jul 30” |
| “4.9% engagement” | “4.9% tracked-content engagement · likes + comments ÷ available impressions” |
| “Worldwide audience” | “Top market: United States 35.3% of reported YouTube watch time” |
| “Fast growth” | “+2.1% followers across four verified snapshots over 30 days” |
| “300K followers” | “113K Instagram · 116K TikTok · 18K YouTube; audiences not deduplicated” |

Questions worth answering before the deal
How long should a media kit be?
A live media kit should be as long as needed to answer the buying questions, but the first screen must establish identity, niche, audience, proof, and a clear next action. A PDF usually works best at two to five focused pages.
Should creators show rates publicly?
It depends on the sales strategy. Published starting prices reduce low-fit inquiries; hidden or verified-viewer rates preserve negotiation flexibility. Either way, explain what the price includes.
Can a screenshot count as verified analytics?
It is evidence, but it is weaker than a read-only official connection because screenshots can be old, cropped, or detached from the account and reporting period. Label the source and date.
Should platform audiences be combined?
Show each platform separately because the same person may follow on more than one platform. A combined headline can be useful, but it should not imply unique people unless deduplication is actually available.
