Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube rate calculator

Estimate a defensible planning range from typical views, engagement, production complexity, usage, exclusivity, and timing.

Updated July 30, 2026Calculator read

This calculator estimates a planning range in USD. It uses a production floor and a view-based distribution model, then adds engagement, complexity, rights, exclusivity, and rush timing. It does not scrape an account or promise a market-clearing price.

01 · Method

How the estimate is built

Production floororTypical views × CPM×Engagement & complexity+Rights

The model uses the higher of the production floor or view-based audience value. That prevents a beautifully produced asset from being priced at almost zero when it is not posted, while preventing a high-distribution placement from being priced as production alone.

Model assumptions in USD. CPM is applied to typical comparable views, not total followers.

02 · Better inputs

Use a median, then check the distribution

  • Take 10–20 recent posts in the same format

  • Exclude pinned posts that are not representative

  • Record the median views, not only the average

  • Note whether views are organic, paid, or mixed

  • Use the same reporting window across comparisons

  • Check saves, comments, shares, watch time, and audience fit

  • Add production and licensing costs that the public metrics cannot reveal

Common questions

Questions worth answering before the deal

Why does the calculator ask for typical views?

Typical views are closer to the actual distribution brands can expect than follower count. Use a median from recent comparable posts when possible so one viral result does not dominate.

Does the result include usage rights?

Only the rights selected in the calculator. The breakdown separates base creative and distribution value from paid usage, exclusivity, and rush work.

Can I use the result as a final quote?

Use it as a planning range and negotiation starting point. Validate actual expenses, brief complexity, deliverables, tax, travel, revisions, licensing language, and your own demand before quoting.

Why can a smaller creator produce a higher estimate?

A specialist with stronger typical views, engagement, production quality, and audience fit may create more expected value than a larger but weakly matched account.
